Alison Skilbeck

Alison Skilbeck’s long and busy career includes London’s West End and Fringe, theatre all over the UK, and many tours abroad. She has toured extensively as a writer/performer with four critically acclaimed plays; Are There More of You?, The Power Behind The Crone, Mrs Roosevelt Flies to London and Alison Skilbeck's Uncommon Ground. She is well known in television with roles in Sherlock Holmes, The Beiderbecke Affair, Miss Marple, Head Over Heels, Soldier Soldier, New Tricks, Doctor Who, Lovejoy, Midsomer Murders and Call the Midwife. She is Lady Elton in Season 5 of The Crown on    Netflix. Films include The Hiding Place, Phantom  of the Opera, Florence Foster Jenkins, Holmes and Watson. Fans of The Archers will know her as Polly Perks until the character was killed off! Two recent online projects have been Wimpole Street, an award-winning web series, and the acclaimed pod cast sitcom series Wooden Overcoats.
